20% of Uber employees will lose their jobs

 As a result of the coronavirus, 20 percent of Uber employees are losing their jobs.

 Although so far the decision has not been finalized.  However, discussions are going on at the top level.  Uber will lose 5,400 jobs if it is officially announced in the next few weeks.  Uber pays these employees every month.  This decision will have no effect on the driver or the delivery man.

 Tuhan Pam, the company's chief technology officer, has resigned.  He joined Uber in 2013.  3,600 Uber engineers worked under him.  Of them, 700 engineers are going to lose their jobs.

 At present, Uber has 26,000 salaried employees around the world.  Lockdown is taking place in all major cities of the world due to coronavirus.  In such a situation, the car running on Uber app cannot get on the road.  As a result, the business collapsed.  Compared to the same period last year, the revenue of the ride sharing platform has decreased by 60 percent.

 Uber also has a food delivery business.  Although the number of users of Uber Eats has increased, it has not been able to sustain the loss of ride sharing business.
